A Few Days Together on the Amalfi Coast

We hope you'll make a little vacation out of it. We're planning a few special things while we're all together in Positano, with plenty of time left open to wander, swim, eat, nap, explore—or do absolutely nothing at all. Here's a little peek at what we're planning. Details and timing may shift as we get closer!

MONDAY, JUNE 21Arrive + Settle InA suggested arrival day for anyone joining us for all of the festivities. Check in, wander Positano, find some pasta and settle into Italian time.TUESDAY, JUNE 22Cooking + Dinner TogetherWe're planning a relaxed afternoon of cooking, eating, drinking and spending time around the table together.WEDNESDAY, JUNE 23Day on the MediterraneanWe're planning a day on the water—swimming, music, drinks, coastal cruising and a long lunch by the sea.THURSDAY, JUNE 24The WeddingOur wedding celebration will take place in Positano in the evening. Formal details to follow.FRIDAY, JUNE 25One More Day in PositanoSleep in. Swim. Shop. Wander. Eat something wonderful. Do absolutely nothing. This day is yours.The wedding on June 24 is the only fixed event. Everything else is our current plan and may shift slightly as details are finalized.

Black Tie In Positano

Our wedding will be black tie, but this is Positano in the summertime—so think elegant, glamorous and celebratory.FOR THE LADIESFloor-length gowns are requested. Color, prints and beautiful summer fabrics are absolutely welcome. Think romantic Italian evening rather than traditional ballroom formal.FOR THE GENTLEMENTuxedos are requested. Classic black is always perfect, and lightweight fabrics will be your friend on a June evening along the coast.A NOTE ABOUT SHOESPositano is beautiful—and famously full of stairs, stone streets and uneven surfaces. Choose shoes you can comfortably navigate, and ladies may want to bring a pair of flats for later in the evening.Most importantly, wear something that makes you feel fabulous. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in Italy.

WHEN SHOULD WE ARRIVE IN POSITANO?We recommend arriving by Monday, June 21 if you’d like to join us for all of the festivities. Our wedding will take place on Thursday, June 24. If you’re making a longer trip out of it, we highly encourage it!DO WE NEED TO ATTEND EVERYTHING DURING WEDDING WEEK?Not at all! The wedding is the only must. We’re planning a few special experiences while everyone is together, but we also want you to have plenty of time to enjoy Positano on your own. Join us for as much, or as little, as you’d like.WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR TO THE WEDDING?Our wedding is black tie. Tuxedos and floor-length gowns are requested, with color, prints and beautiful summer fabrics absolutely welcome. Visit our Dress Code page for more details.WHERE SHOULD WE STAY?Our wedding will take place at Hotel Marincanto, where we’ll have access to a limited number of guest rooms. We’ve also included several nearby hotel recommendations at different price points on our Travel page.HOW DO WE GET TO POSITANO?We recommend flying into Naples International Airport (NAP) and arranging a private or shared transfer to Positano. We’ll share additional transportation information as we get closer.ARE CHILDREN INVITED?We’d love for you to make a family vacation out of your time in Italy! Our wedding and hosted wedding-week events, however, will be adults-only, with the exception of our own children at the ceremony only. If you’re traveling with little ones, we’ll be happy to share local childcare recommendations as we get closer.WHEN SHOULD WE RSVP?Formal invitations and RSVP details will follow. For now, we’d love an early idea of whether you think you’ll be able to celebrate with us in Italy so we can begin planning our time together.WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DINNER?After dinner, anyone who wants to keep the night going is invited to join us for drinks and dancing in Positano. Getting to Positano

Positano is part of the adventure! We know traveling to the Amalfi Coast takes a little more planning, so we’ve gathered everything you’ll need to make getting here as easy as possible.We recommend arriving in Positano by Monday, June 21 if you’d like to join us for all of the festivities. Our wedding will take place on Thursday, June 24, 2027.

FLYING INWe recommend flying into Naples International Airport (NAP). Depending on where you're traveling from, your itinerary may include a connection in another European city.NAPLES → POSITANOFrom Naples, we recommend arranging a private car or shared transfer directly to Positano. The drive is typically around 1½–2 hours, though summer traffic along the coast can add time. We'll share recommended transportation options as we get closer.GETTING AROUNDWe don't recommend renting a car for your stay in Positano. Once you're here, much of the town is explored on foot, with local drivers, taxis and boats available when needed.DON'T WORRY — WE'LL HELPOnce we know everyone's travel plans, we'll share more detailed transportation information to make getting from Naples to Positano as easy as possible.

We’d love for everyone to make Positano home for a few days!Our wedding will take place at Hotel Marincanto, where a limited number of rooms will be available for our guests. Booking details will be shared directly with guests once available.PALAZZO MURAT — LUXURYA beautiful, historic hotel in the heart of Positano with gorgeous gardens, a pool and an incredibly central location.HOTEL SAVOIA — MID-RANGEA charming, family-run hotel in a fantastic central location and a great option for guests looking for comfort and convenience.HOTEL REGINELLA — MORE BUDGET-FRIENDLYA lovely, centrally located Positano hotel and a great option for guests looking for a more approachable price point.A LITTLE NOTEPositano is very walkable—but also very vertical! We recommend staying near the center of town rather than choosing accommodations based on distance alone. We’ll continue to share lodging and transportation tips as we get closer.

Between the things we have planned together, we hope you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy Positano however you’d like. Wander without a plan, spend the afternoon by the water, shop, find a table with a view, order another glass of wine—or take a very necessary Italian afternoon nap.A few ideas for making the most of your time here are below.

APERITIVO WITH A VIEWFind a terrace, order a spritz and watch the sun go down. Franco's Bar is an iconic favorite for cocktails, music and one of the prettiest views in town.BEACH FOR THE DAYSpend a few hours at Spiaggia Grande or wander over to quieter Fornillo Beach. For a little adventure, take the boat to Laurito Beach for a long seaside lunch at Da Adolfo.WANDER + SHOPPositano is made for wandering. Explore the little streets and boutiques for handmade leather sandals, beautiful linen, ceramics and things you definitely didn't plan on fitting into your suitcase.STOP FOR SOMETHING SWEETGrab a coffee, gelato, granita or a lemon dessert and stay awhile. La Zagara's citrus-filled garden terrace is a lovely stop while exploring town.HAVE A LONG ITALIAN LUNCHPick somewhere with a view, order too much pasta, add a bottle of wine and don't look at the clock. You're in Italy.STAY OUT LATEPositano gets even more fun after dark. Have drinks by the water, wander through town or—if you're still going—dance inside a cave at Music On the Rocks.
